Falkenstein Izak (Iciks)

Izak (Iciks) Falkenstein (born in May 5, 1870). Father Moisejs (Movsa) Falkenstein, mother Asne-Estere Falkenstein (born Cerfas). Brothers – Hackel and Israel (Born on Jaunuary 7, 1879, received education in Jewish school. His wife Hava (born surname – Hersonskaja) was born in Rezekne, 1886. The marriage was registered in 1907. Izrail’s family owned food store in Rezekne (Latgale street 78, opened on October 19, 1931 and functioned until 1936). On March 16, 1912 Izrail’s and Hava’s son Haim Falkenstein was born. He graduated secondary school and in 1936 married Lena Veisman. In 1941 fascists killed Haim and his mother Hava by hanging them on the railings of the Rezekne bridge (memories of Rezekne citizen – Grigorijs Ioffe). Izrail died earlier – until 1933).
On December 25, 1897 Izak married Marjash Honovna-Abramovna (born in 1872 with surname Tager).

In 1898 the daughter Frida (Frade) of Izak was born as well as the son Mihails (Mozus, Moisejs) in 1903, son Vitalijs in 1908. Grandchildren – Leibs-Arje Reiser (born in November 1, 1934, died in 1941 during Riga ghetto), Jevgenij (born in March 5, 1931), Aleksandr (born in February 10, 1936 – 1991), Itamar and granddaughter Sofija (born in October 2, 1936), Ira. Izak Falkenstein together with his mother were selling grocery goods.

Izak and Marjasa Falkenstein were shot in Rumbula on November 30, 1941.
